Алесь Posted December 29, 2013 Share Posted December 29, 2013 Американский живописец Michael Parkes, основатель течения магического реализма, мастер фантастической живописи , литографии и скульптуры. Родился в 1944 году, в городке Сайкстоун, штат Миссури в Америке. Закончил Канзасский университет, где изучал искусство живописи и графики. Его уникальный стиль развивался в изоляции, после периода, в котором он вообще отказался от практики искусства и отправился в Индию в поисках философского просвещения. После довольно долгого пребывания в Индии, Michael Parkes стал писать картины и создавать литографии в стиле тщательного и детализированного представления изображений, с тех пор его работы и положили начало формированию течения, названного магическим реализмом. В настоящее время Michael Parkes признанный мастер, его работы были представлены в престижных галереях Амстердама, Парижа, Дании , Италии, Нью-Йорка, Лос-Анджелеса, Сан-Франциско, и по всем Соединенным Штатам. . Практически все произведения художника находятся в частных коллекциях. В последнее время Michael Parkes живет и работает в Швейцарии.
