Этот конкурс проводится ежегодно, свои фотоработы для него присылают репортеры-анималисты со всего мира. В 2017 году жюри получило 3,5 тысячи фотографий из 86 стран. В итоге лучшим назван снимок венгерского фотографа Тибора Керца, которому удалось заснять неуклюжую сову, падающую с ветки. В категории «На земле» жюри отметило снимок итальянского фотографа Андреа Зампати, который сфотографировал довольную полевую мышь, сидящую на цветке. В категории «Под водой» победило фото недовольной черепахи, отталкивающей рыбу, авторства австралийца Троя Мэйна. В категории «В воздухе» жюри отдало победу птице-«самолету» шотландского фотографа Джона Трелфолла. Добавим, что на конкурсе были представлены и другие, очень достойные работы. Видео поединка публикует портал news.com.au. Инцидент произошел неподалеку от города Аделаида на юге страны. По словам автора ролика, из-за стычки на шоссе образовалась пробка. Водители пытались прогнать коал автомобильными гудками, однако те никак не реагировали. В итоге, устав сражаться, коалы сами покинули проезжую часть. Видео активно обсуждают в YouTube. «Поразительная уверенность в себе!», — написал пользователь с ником Erin Dewan. «Даже самые милые животные выходят из себя в это время года», — прокомментировал ролик Kould B. «Извините, я опоздал на работу, потому что мне помешали две борющиеся коалы», — иронизирует fragglepuppies.
